Found

A build regenerates capsules/BLOCK_MAP.md and v3/include/version.h, both tracked, so every build leaves the tree dirty; scripts/nightly.sh and qemu_session.py put them back with git checkout.

Done when

Either generated into build/ and not tracked, or regenerated only when their content changes
